Ranjit also worked on the the popular Indian TV show ‘Malgudi Days‘, where he wrote the screenplay and dialogues, the show was broadcast on the Doordarshan Network from 1986 to 2006
Ranjit’s first screenplay and starring role was in ‘Sam & Me‘, directed by Deepa Mehta, it won Honorable mention at the 1991 Cannes Film Festival
